Tip #1: Set Goals.

The saying: “If you don’t know where you’re going, it doesn’t matter how you’re getting there” is true for skating.

Working at a trick consistently will help you learn new skateboard tricks, and sometimes this will require a bit of perseverance and committedness.To learn new skateboard tricks, write some goals for tricks you want to learn and then work at some of them each time you skate.

Do this for a while and you’ll find the trick easier and easier.

Tip #2: Commit!

To learn new skateboard tricks, centre on landing the trick, not avoiding slamming.

The main reason I people take a long time to learn new skateboard tricks is because they’re just not committed to landing the trick.

They’re too busy worrying about hurting themselves rather than trying to learn new skateboard tricks. If all you’re concerned with is not slamming then you’re going to have a hard time learn new skateboard tricks.

Just focussing on ‘not hurting yourself’ mean you’ll end up bailing out of the trick even when you’ve got a good chance of landing it. To learn new skateboard tricks, you need to try hard to land the trick and have a clear picture in your mind of what you’ll do and centre on doing it.

You will fall sometimes, but slamming is rarely as bad as we imagine it to be and injuries are pretty uncommon.

The only way to learn how to do tricks on skateboard is to be committed to actually landing the trick!

Tip #3: Work up to it.

Don’t try to land 360 flips if you can’t even ollie up a curb or 50-50.

This sounds crazy, but I see people doing it all the time.If you really want to learn new skateboard tricks, you need to build up your skills from basic tricks to the more advanced ones.

To learn new skateboard tricks, you need to treat it like building blocks - tricks build onto each other. The more basic, foundational tricks you learn, the easier the advanced tricks will come.Take the time to sharpen up on your basic tricks and the harder tricks will come much easier.

Tip # 4: Have fun.

There’s nothing worse than being unhappy while trying to learn new skateboard tricks, and chances are you won’t learn it if you’re angry or impatient.

To learn new skateboard tricks, make sure you’re having fun - if you aren’t, try something else and come back to it later on. Skateboarding is supposed to be fun - that’s why we doing it.If it’s not fun for you, you’re doing it for the wrong reason :).

There are so many skateboarders today it is crazy recent study shows that there are over 12 million people world wide that skateboard and a third of those people are under the age of 18. That is one good sport and a lot of people must love something about the sport of skateboarding.

Skateboarding is just a sport to some but to the people that actually love the sport it is a lifestyle. It was first made and rode in the 1950s and was just a piece of wood with wheels. Now the modern skateboard that we are using is made from all kinds of different things like fiberglass and the wheels are not just wheels anymore they are made from polyurethane and other materials. So if you though that skateboards were still being made like they were back then you need to go look at what is being made now.

Back when they were using those kinds of skateboards all the surfers in California would take the wheels off the roller skates and put them on a skateboard deck and make themselves skateboards to ride down the hills in California. That is far from how they are made today even though they first made skateboards that early and with some roller skate wheels.

Back then when they were making those types of skateboards they looked like surfboards because they were long and would turn so quick. Today skateboards are made from more durable materials and can be used for awhile. They sold so many skateboards in that time when they first came out that they had to make or come up with something new because everyone already had the first they wanted to see what the new decks would look like. The new types of wheels would come out before any new type of skateboard would.

Every day people will use a skateboard as a mode of transportation and people love to skateboard. It is something that has consumed the world and the world’s people seem to like what skateboarding has to offer so it does appear that it is staying and getting better.

Most of people see skateboarding as just another sport and you cannot do the sport in most public places other then skate parks these days. It is illegal in most places to skate where they have public property. The real skateboarders see skateboarding as a lifestyle and like to live like it is every day. They will wear all skateboarding brand clothes and will wear skate shoes. You can spot a skateboarder from just the type of clothing that they will be wearing.

Skateboarding if you look back when it started evolved from surfing so if you are trying to blame the cause of a great discovery on the hippies you are wrong. Skateboarding evolved from surfing and it started and now today the skateboarding industry is booming. People that are in with the sport already will continue to do the sport forever because it will become part of their every day activities and to most people will be their lifestyle. So if you are a person that wants to get started in skateboarding then you need to go buy a skateboard and try it out.

If you are interested in skateboarding, you are eventually going to have to buy a skateboard. It is usually a good idea to talk to people you know who already skateboard to see what they like and do not like about certain brands. Chances are you will be given the opportunity to try out your friends’ skateboards if you ask them. This will give you a good idea as to what your own personal preferences are for skateboards.

The board part of the skateboard is called the deck and it is usually made of plywood. You can also find cheaper skateboards that are made of plastic. Plastic skateboards are all right to start out with, but if you really love skateboarding you will want to buy a wooden, fiberglass or carbon board as these will last longer, however they will cost you more too. The average skateboard is eight inches wide, but you can get wider boards that make it easier to learn how to skateboard. The wider the board, the more stable it becomes. However wider boards make skateboard tricks more difficult. If you want to be able to rotate a board, you will want one that is 8 inches wide or less.

Your skateboard should come with a sandpaper-like material glued to the surface of the board. This is called griptape, and its entire purpose is to help your shoes grip onto the board as you skate. You will be able to buy the griptape from the skateboard shop that you buy your skateboard from. It comes in various sizes and can be cut down to the correct size for your board. Your griptape needs to be replaced periodically as it wears off the more that you use the skateboard.

Most skateboards have raised nose tail and sides, which is called the concave. The deeper the concave is, the more dramatic tricks can be achieved by the skater. If you are an aggressive skater, you will want a deeper concave. Beginning skaters will need a shallow concave until they really learn how to skate and then can move on to a board with a deeper concave.

The wheels on your skateboard are made of hard plastic, though you can still find old models that have metal wheels, however the metal is not recommended. The plastic wheels are made in different sizes and hardness. The most common level of hardness is one that is 90a. The harder the wheel is, the more pop you can get out of them. Pro skateboarders use wheels with 100a hardness. 97a hardness is good for ramp riding and skateboard parks. The smaller the wheels are in diameter the easier it is for you to perform some skateboard tricks. Smaller wheels will put your skateboard lower to the ground, but when you are starting out you want to have the larger wheels.

Do not get stuck on name brands! You can buy blank boards that have no brand names on them at all. It does not mean that they are bad boards, in fact, many skaters prefer the blank boards to the name brands. You can then customize the skateboard anyway that you would like to and the price is much less than you would pay for a brand name board.

Whenever you are looking for skateboards to buy, you are more than likely going to come across blank skateboards. There is not just one company that makes blank skateboards, so you do not always know what kind of board you are getting. However, this is not always a bad thing.

Things to Look For In Blank Skateboards

The first thing that you need to look for is what kind of wood the blank skateboards are made out of. If there are no markings on it, then you may have to ask the owner of the skateboard shop you are in. He or she may be able to tell you want kind of wood the boards are made from. If you do not know this already, the best kind of wood to have a board made from is maple. If it is not made from hard maple, then it is going to be made out of a much softer wood. It kind of goes without saying, that if it’s made from a softer wood, then it is not going to last you as long. Now, if you are not going to be doing any tricks with your blank skateboards, then it does not matter. However, if you are more aggressive, then you will want the board to be made of maple.

Some people get upset when you buy blank skateboards, because you are not supporting pro skating. It goes without saying as well, that the pro skateboards are a lot better than the blank ones. They have been treated to be used aggressively and go through a lot of tricks. Of course, if you are not gong to be doing that kind of stuff, then it does not really matter. Blank skateboards usually come with blank wheels and other things like that.

Positive Side to Buying Blank Skateboards

Buying blank skateboards can be both good and bad. The best thing about blank skateboards is the fact that they do not cost a lot of money. They are very cheap. Of course, this is not always going to be a high selling point for everyone. After all, if you have the money to buy a pro skateboard, then you may want to buy that one first. If you want to start skating right away and you need some cash, then blank skateboards could be perfect for you.

Keep in mind that all skateboards can break. The pro skate boards can break just like the blank ones can break. The main thing to keep in mind is the fact that you just need to make sure that you know that the blank skateboards do not have the same pop to them. That means that when doing tricks, it is easier to break them in half.

Blank skateboards are here to help everyone be able to afford a skateboard. Just because you do not have a lot of money does not mean that you can not buy a skateboard. Just get some blank skateboards and be sure to go a little easier on them. Over time, you will learn what you can and can not do with blank skateboards. Also, you will learn why some of the pro ones are better. However, just because you spend more money on something does not mean its going to last longer. The blank ones can last just as long if treated right.
